I always thought I would become a writer.  Or talk show host.  Or something uber important.  And that I would dress in tailored suits every day and stand in front of very important people during very important meetings and say very important things.  I was a political science major, a lawyer, a recruiter, an interior design student, and an interior decorator.  And though I have loved each of these chapters of my life, life happens, people grow and things change.  I have found that I am much happier wearing yoga pants than a suit (though I do still love a crisp black pant suit) and that a crowded kitchen is far more rewarding than any court room.  I have found that the voice that is the most commanding and influential is that of “mom” and “friend”.  So here I am…holding court.  In a fresh way.  I am a modern mom, wife and interior decorator with strong opinions and I am voicing them here.

Holding Court is about getting your attention and giving you access to the things I am in awe of and inspired by. It’s about sharing ideas on design, décor, fashion, travel and life.  Holding Court is one stylish mom’s perspective on life, design, life, decor, and life.

Marija – I am so glad I found your blog. I couldn’t get to it from your comment on my “signs”. Thank you for that comment. It took a long time to get the courage to write it. I would be happy to read you post. Please send me a note when you do it.

I look forward to reading it!
